Boyko Borisov’s stories about Operation Barbarossa illustrate his complexes and fears that Delyan Peevski has kidnapped him. This was stated by the co-chairman of Yes, Bulgaria, Ivaylo Mirchev, in the corridors of the National Assembly.
“Today is the anniversary of D-Day and the Normandy landings, and since Boyko Borisov feels kidnapped in Operation Barbarossa, we are ready to carry out a landing like in Normandy and liberate Bulgaria from Peevski. If necessary, we will also free his victim, Borisov,” Mirchev said. The political leader continued the analogy and recalled that before the Third Reich attacked the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa, Hitler and Stalin were allies in World War II.
The MP announced that today Democratic Bulgaria had filed a report with the prosecutor’s office regarding the Anti-Corruption Fund’s investigation into Hristo Kovachki’s secret energy network. Mirchev stressed that he expected action from the Chief Prosecutor’s Office and added that a report was also being prepared for the European Prosecutor’s Office.
“The data presented is extremely serious and indicative of the octopus that has taken over the Bulgarian energy sector. We are talking about billions of levs being taken from the pockets of each and every one of us”, Mirchev said.
When asked about a potential vote of no confidence against the government, the MP replied that Democratic Bulgaria is firmly in opposition but will not participate in such initiatives before September.
The co-chair of Yes, Bulgaria, Bozhidar Bojanov, commented on the initiative to remove Tsontcho Ganev from the post of deputy chairman of the National Assembly because of his aggression against Yavor Bozhankov from the “We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria”.
“Boyko Borisov obviously does not want to deal with the issue. While he spouts utter nonsense and accuses one person or another of sabotaging the eurozone, GERB continues to protect and pamper its partners from Vazrazhdane,” Bojanov said categorically. He added that the necessary signatures to submit the request for Ganev’s dismissal will be collected and stressed that he expects GERB to support the initiative.
