The main obstacle for the parties will be the electoral wall, political scientist and lecturer at the New Bulgarian University Prof. Antoniy Todorov commented. According to him, the voters were tired of the endless series of inconclusive early elections, but the political forces were also losing the last vestiges of their prestige. He said they were not only skeptical of the political forces, but there was also a sense of hatred.

Prof. Todorov said that the caretaker prime minister would not have it easy and reminded that of all those mentioned, he was the only one who accepted the offer to take up the post.

„I personally doubt he has his own house book. He has his own history related to GERB,“, the political scientist said of Dimitar Glavchev, adding that among the ministers there will be those named by the GERB leader or at least figures he has not opposed.

The political scientist also explained the silence of the MRF about Glavchev – „this is probably beneficial for them, they are rather satisfied“. He believes that during the presentation of the candidate ministers „there will be heated debates and then the MRF will intervene“.

The expert is of the opinion that the fears of pressure and lobbying for such a cabinet with a short horizon of action are justified, because „fish are best caught in muddy water. /…/ In these conditions, different lobbies will push for one thing or another. The risk is certainly there and that is one danger with the new regulation.“
