At 11:00 on January 3, at 2 Dondukov Street, President Rumen Radev will hand over the mandate to form a government to the candidate for prime minister, nominated by the second largest parliamentary group in the 48th National Assembly – that of „We Continue the Change“. This was announced by the press secretariat of the Head of State.

We remind you that the first mandate was unsuccessful, after the draft cabinet of Prof. Nikolay Gabrovsky failed to gather the necessary support and his nomination was rejected by the National Assembly.

At the same time, „We Continue the Change“ announced that it would propose a minority government in coalition with “Democratic Bulgaria”.

„We are here to say that we are ready, if the second mandate comes to us, to work together for a minority government with a clear vision and plan. There must be guarantees for Parliament to show that it can work in such a format,“, Kiril Petkov stated at the end of November.

In December, „We Continue the Change“ proposed Academician Nikolay Denkov for the second term as Prime Minister. He was Minister of Education in the „Petkov“ cabinet.

This was followed by talks with all political forces in search of common priorities to unite them. His requests were first to develop a program declaration with priorities and only then to discuss names of ministers.
