By order of the caretaker government, Prof. Hristo Daskalov was released yesterday from the position of executive director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency. This was announced at a briefing last night at the Ministry of Agriculture. Hristo Valchanov was appointed in his place, who held the position until the end of 2021. We remind you that Valchanov has started the procedure for a new 10-year contract with the private company Eurolab 2011 at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing.

Prof. Daskalov commented on his dismissal on Facebook as follows:

“The return of the old corruption schemes started even before GERB fulfilled their responsibility to form a regular government.

A little while ago, by order of the caretaker government, I was fired from BABH, and Hristo Valchanov, who was in this position from July until the end of 2021, was appointed in my place as executive director. This is the person who started the procedure at the end of the same year for a new 10-year contract with a private company on the border.

You know all the facts about the „Captain Andreevo“ case. You know about the threats, the attempted bribes, the black campaign against all of us who „touched“ the favorite company of the Boris government. You know about the GERB party functionaries connected with the border company. You know we did everything to stop the Eurolab 2011 restoration of Captain Andreevo. This is the state’s response.

Together with my colleagues from „We continue the change“, I will continue to fight already from the National Assembly with the schemes that poison and rob people and that channel huge financial resources to buy elections. But my dismissal is a sign that we need all your support so that we don’t go back into the darkness from which we have just begun to emerge!”

Prof. Hristo Daskalov is one of the few people who, during the seven months when he managed „We continued the change“, worked selflessly to deal with corruption, the corruption model GERB-DPS and to preserve legality. He was one of the key people who played an important role in uncovering the „Captain Andreevo“ scheme and returning the ownership of the border crossing from private hands to the state.

Hristo Daskalov, along with Ivan Hristanov, the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture, public figure Konstantin Bachiiski, Boyko Rashkov, former Minister of the Interior, Alexander Dunchev, Executive Director of the Forestry Executive Agency, are part of the people fighting against backstage and corruption in the state . “The Organization for the Protection of Bulgarian Citizens has also contributed to the corruption schemes.

With this act of President Rumen Radev, the official reasons given by the Ministry of Agriculture for the removal of Hristo Daskalov are unfounded according to the Bulgarian citizens. On social networks, users expressed their displeasure against the cast. According to them, the reasons for it will not be stated publicly, but reasons that do not correspond to the truth will be circulated.

Radev’s actions make us wonder:

– Has the head of state sold himself to the GERB-DPS mafia?

– If he did, what was the president bought with?

This act of action in the face of the president is considered by many to be wrong. People believe that the corrupt backstage in the person of GERB and The movement for rights and freedoms, reach all the way to the Presidency and have taken it over. In this way, these parties regain some of the corruptive power that was taken from them by „We continue the Change“. With the recent actions of the caretaker government, it is clear that the tentacles of both parties are everywhere in the governance of the country.

From the above, a question arises that is of extreme importance for the future of Bulgaria:

– Are the actions of President Rumen Radev aimed at the prosperity of the state or is he just another ordinary corrupt person?
