There are already 14 victims of COVID-19 in Bulgaria, 8 new cases found

An 83-year-old woman suffering from COVID-19 died at Aleksandrovska University Hospital this afternoon. She also suffered from hypertension and diabetes. The total number of people who have already died as a result of the virus in Bulgaria is 14, with four people having lost their lives within a day.

Currently, there are 485 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our country, according to data from the National Operational Headquarters, cited by the Ministry of Health. Another 8 new cases were confirmed during the day, with 5 in Sofia, 1 in Blagoevgrad, 1 in Kyustendil, and 1 in Vidin. The laboratories are still working.

There are 173 persons with confirmed COVID-19, who are hospitalized under medical conditions, and 21 of them are treated in intensive care units.

In terms of the overall picture, by April 3: 275 of the COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria were diagnosed in men, and the remaining 210 in women. The average age of the patient who have tested positive for the coronavirus infection is 47.

The registered cases by administrative districts are as follows: Blagoevgrad – 15; Burgas – 21; Varna – 23; Veliko Tarnovo – 4; Vidin – 2; Gabrovo – 2; Dobrich – 10; Kardzhali – 8; Kyustendil – 7; Lovech – 1; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 8; Pernik – 6; Pleven – 9; Plovdiv – 29; Ruse – 1; Silistra – 2; Sliven – 5; Smolyan – 13; Sofia – 292; Stara Zagora – 3; Haskovo – 2; Shumen – 4.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in medical personnel is currently 22.
