Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will demand 130 million euros from the European Commission for equipping the police officers. This was reported by him during the government meeting. The equipment will serve in case of a severe migration crisis, if any. Bulgaria will look for options if the necessary stuff can be ordered directly from Germany.

At 6 pm tonight, the Prime Minister is participating in an extraordinary European Council, which is being held online and is being discussed with the leaders of the Member States, who are putting emphasis on the issues of migration crisis and the coronavirus situation.

Scientists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences were also present at the government meeting, and it became clear that they would assist in the production of protective masks and clothing, DarikNews reported.

In addition, there is a Bulgarian company that has developed a molecule against coronalvirus. The prime minister will help speed up its testing thanks to his contacts at European level. So far, the molecule has produced positive results.

It became clear that today or tomorrow the production of Bulgarian protective clothing will start. The border guards have seized smuggling for the first time. An attempt has been made to export 7500 masks. In this regard, Borissov ordered to tighten the border control as much as possible.

Turkey’s protective clothing is also expected to arrive today. The prime minister described this as a friendly gesture because exports from our neighboring country is banned.
