Anesthesiologist Dr. Boris Tablov, who lives in Germany, sharply criticized the government for their behavior and decisions in the context of a coronavirus pandemic in our country. According to him, their measures are cosmetic and the policy is not based on scientific facts. He gave as an example the last speech of the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov, who announced that the situation with the virus in our country was under control, given that the cases are growing avalanche every day and the government itself admits that there are huge problems in the health system.

Dr. Tablov also pointed out the recommendations of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to the medics to change the antibiotics and to have a van with a professor in front of each hospital.

According to the anesthesiologist, the government’s decisions do not have a clear purpose of where they want to take us. He is of the opinion that things in Bulgaria are definitely missed. And he gave another example with the shorter quarantine. According to him, in itself it will not lead to any results, except purely political and organizational. There is a logic in reducing the mandatory isolation of doctors, but only if it is in a package of measures, the doctor added.

He cited Germany as an example, where hospitals have been preparing for the large influx of patients since the spring. He was adamant that even there there was a shortage of medical staff, but it was overcome by limiting the planned activities of medical institutions. Thus, doctors were redirected to combat COVID-19.

According to him, Bulgaria is currently paying the price for the wrong policy in the field of medical personnel for the last more than ten years.
