Dozens of performers have united around the cause „Let’s help Theo walk bravely“. They take part in a large-scale concert, which will be held on June 8 at 18:00 in the Summer Theater of Burgas.
Theodore is only five years old and suffers from cerebral palsy. Until now, he has not had the opportunity to have a happy and carefree childhood, but that can change, thanks to a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). Through it, the child will get a chance to finally walk steadily. Such a procedure is most successfully performed in the United States, but it costs $49,118. The amount is too much for the family, which is why a charity fundraising campaign has been launched.
The concert in support of Theo is organized by the motorcycle club „MCC New Race“ and its aim is to contribute to raising money for the treatment. The symbolic entrance fee will be BGN 10, but each visitor can donate more funds at will, and children will be admitted for free.
Famous performers will take part in the charity show, including dance school „Dune“, break and hip-hop club „Black Style Squad“, group „Rap nation“, comedian Nikolay Gurmanov, children acrobats from KSA „Neftokhimik Burgas 2011“, pipers , dance and folklore ensembles, children’s ballet and many others. All of them will join the concert free of charge. The performance is expected to last over three hours, as it offers a very rich and varied program.
The organizers of the „MCC New Race“ are calling on citizens and guests of the city to attend the concert and donate funds to finance the treatment of little Theo. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov has been invited to the event, as well as all motorcycle clubs, and a large number of them are expected to attend and join the charity initiative.
