Boyko Borissov’s government survived the fifth vote of no confidence motion and the first political reactions are already a fact.

At a briefing after the parliamentary vote, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev announced that the cabinet remained in power because there was no motive for early elections two months before the regular elections. According to him, the government still had work to do. He cited the economic and health consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic as examples, as well as the creation of a machine voting organization. Donchev also talked about energy projects.

However he confirmed that the cabinet will be renovated. But she did not want to say which ministers will be replaced. He asked for a few more days of patience, and that would become clear.

He added:

“For years in internal party disputes, when we argued, when we argued, when someone inside reproached us that we were not good enough, we always came up with the universal remark, which is more dangerous – yes, but we are better than others. This is not enough. We have to be as good as people want us to be.”

He expressed regret that, according to him, at the moment, during the protests organized in this way, the ruling party had no one to talk to. Otherwise, they wanted to do it. But there was no format for negotiations. At the same time, Donchev stressed that even if a person is angry, his voice must be heard and the reasons for his dissatisfaction must be taken into account.

For his part, in the plenary hall, MP Manoil Manev announced that for him this vote was “a lie, stupidity and hatred”. He accused the BSP of lying to young people on the streets. The Socialists had announced that they were voting because of dissatisfaction, but in fact, according to him, they were doing so because of their failed leader in the person of Kornelia Ninova.

Valeri Zhablyanov from the BSP, on the other hand, opposed it, saying that in order to understand the motives for the vote of no confidence, a managerial, economic and social analysis are needed.

Spas Garnevski attacked the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev:

“The biggest failure of the BSP in politics was brought to light in the face of the street coup – Feldfebel Rumen Radev.”

“VOLYA” did not support the vote, because history has shown that when the BSP is in power, a crisis or national catastrophe occurs.
