The world is in the worst financial and economic crisis we can imagine. We do not feel it in Bulgaria yet. We support businesses – small, medium and micro enterprises.

This was commented by the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who today got back into his official jeep and went to inspect the section between Vidin and Montana. The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Nankov is also traveling with him.

I hope the winter is milder. People will have to wait for the harvest, we have been waiting for this on the „Hemus“ Motorway. We act in both directions. Brussels gave 200 million more to the Northwest. We built the highways „Lyulin“, „Trakia“, „Maritsa“, „Europe“, „Struma“. We need to work, a lot of work. I passed through Botevgrad – Mezdra and some trucks pass there, but the people have to endure a little more.“

For the Vidin-Montana section, Borissov also said that the process is irreversible, the project is funded and the workers are working hard. However, the construction of roads in the country was extremely difficult and complicated because it required the construction of many bridges and tunnels, the Prime Minister said. According to him, deviations should be made in each settlement and revealed that the first project between Botevgrad and Mezdra was made with roundabouts, which would make it difficult for trucks to pass. He praised that since the start of construction of the section in question, requests have been made for the construction of 2 new plants.

We are working on a huge front, especially near Mezdra. A lot is being built. They dug the rocks on both sides. Botevgrad – Mezdra was the most difficult section. The road Botevgrad – Mezdra should be ready before winter. Our country is very nice, but it is very difficult to build here. Tunnels and bridges are needed everywhere. There are many ravines and you have to dig and build facilities. If you don’t, people go out and ask what to do with the transit. Most trucks pass through Vidin. The first project for the road Botevgrad – Mezdra was with 4 roundabouts. Calculate this flow of 4 roundabouts after the highway how it will enter. So we decided to make facilities.”

We remind you that in August BGN 379 million were allocated for the modernization of approximately 69 km of the road between Vidin and Botevgrad between the Makresh road junction and the Montana bypass road.

Borissov also revealed that they have offered large investors a partnership for the project on the road through Petrohan.

„Until now, everything was East-West, but now we are working for South-North.“

We need to see if it is possible to make the site in Petrohan through an inter-partnership, as we talked to Mitsotakis about the road to Alexandroupolis to Dimitrovgrad. Petrohan will be fine if the road is made. Heavy traffic going there will pay off. This tunnel is a great idea, but it costs a billion or so. We have offered it to some big investors. They are waiting for our analysis of the toll system on how it can be paid for with what traffic.“, he added.
