669 COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria

There are 21 new COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria, 10 of which are being treated in hospital according to information from the regular briefing of the National Operations Headquarters. The total number of infected people rose by 3.2% reaching a total of 669 people. The number of active cases in the country is 573.

12 of the new cases are registered in Sofia, 2 of which are treated in “Pirgov” hospital, 2 in “St. Anna” hospital, and 9 are the outpatient cases. In the region Kyustendil there are 3 new cases, with 2 being from the city of Kyustendil and one from Dupnitsa. There are two new cases in Haskovo, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora respectively.

The number of contagious medical workers in the country remains unchanged at 36.

68 patients have recovered from the respiratory disease, 6 of which have been dismissed from the Military Medical Academy in Sofia. There are 2 cases of recovered patients in Kurdzhali, one in Plovdiv, and one in Smolyan – a medical worker.

The death toll so far stands at 29. There are 230 COVID-19 patients placed under medical supervision in hospital wards across the country. The number of patients treated in intensive care units is 35.
