24 new cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria

There are 24 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria bringing the total number of infected people in the country to 565. 16 people of the new cases are placed in hospital care. Gen. prof. Ventsislav Mutafchyiski from the Bulgarian National Headquarters commented that the new coronavirus cases have increased by 4.4% compared to yesterday.

The new cases in the capital city of Sofia are 15. Three people are treated in the hospital of “Pirogov” and one in Alexandrovska hospital. In the Emergency Medical Center there is one new case and in the hospital of “Tokuda” three more. The number of outpatients is eight.

In Vratsa there is one outpatient case and one more COVID-19 case is being treated in “Sveta Marina” hospital in Varna. There is one contagious woman in a hospital in Peshtera and one man in “Sveti Georgi” hospital in Plovdiv. One woman is hospitalized in the multidisciplinary hospital in Ruse. In Stara Zagora there is one man treated in the local university hospital and one in the multidisciplinary hospital in Sliven. In Haskovo there are two cases of a brother (34) and sister (33) who are treated in the local multidisciplinary hospital.

The total number of contagious men in the country stands at 320 (57%) and the number of contagious women is 245 (43%). The youngest patient is one year old and the oldest one 90 years old.

The number of contagious medical staff from the emergency medical center is eight. A total of 209 people have been tested for the respiratory disease over the past 24 hours.
