“Yes, Bulgaria” supports the appeal of public figures who have called for the nomination of a single candidate from the democratic community for the presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria through preliminary elections. The party adds:
“All the more so because we have already taken steps in the same direction. One of the strategic decisions adopted at the Fourth National Conference of “Yes, Bulgaria,” held on April 27, is “to hold preliminary elections and unite the forces of the democratic right to nominate a candidate for president worthy of a European Bulgaria.”
“The presidential elections are key to Bulgaria’s political development as a free, law-abiding, and European country. We believe that through the strong democratic legitimacy of a unified presidential candidate representing the entire democratic community, uniting political parties, non-governmental organizations, free initiatives, and citizens, we will be able to achieve victory in the elections next fall. This victory will guarantee the irreversibility of the country’s Euro-Atlantic course and will be an important factor in the battle against the captured institutions”, commented “Yes, Bulgaria”, adding:
“We believe that with a single presidential candidate, the Bulgarian democratic community will be able to achieve maximum consolidation and mobilization, which is vital to prevent Bulgaria from being diverted to the East and remaining captive to the hijackers of state institutions.”
