The increase in the minimum wage from July 1 is without alternative. The unions believe that the increase in salaries is necessary every year. This comment is the president of CITUB Plamen Dimitrov and the economic advisor of Podkrepa Labor Confederation Vanya Grigorova in connection with the published from the 3-year budget forecast of the Ministry of Finance, which sets the minimum wage to be frozen at BGN 710 by 2025.

Dimitrov submitted the proposal for the routine in the budget procedure, the execution of the calendar and the deadlines set in the law. He revealed that after the announcement of the information, he talked with the relevant minister, who assured that the discussions on the minimum wages, on what the revenue policy will look like in the updated budget from July 1, will be conducted by the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation. in the coming weeks. You show him that the ruling coalition intends to submit various proposals from the current ones.

On the other hand, Grigorova cannot accept it as a pro forma, an indicator included in a document such as a budget forecast, and she hopes that what she sees in the document is an expert omission or mistake. During the last meeting of the tripartite council of the Minister of Finance, it is a sign that the government will raise the minimum wage every year, while the Minister of Social Affairs confirmed last week that the minimum wage could reach BGN 760.

According to CITUB, the minimum wage from July 1 should be at least BGN 760, while the Podkrepa Labor Confederation insists on higher growth – between BGN 840 and 1,000.

„According to us, the annual inflation will reach 12-15%. This inflation must be compensated for all those for whom it is not – not only for the public sector, but also for the private sector. (…) We are doing everything possible to compensate the income from the work of at least this serious and galloping inflation”, said Dimitrov.

The President of CITUB is of the opinion that the pensions from July 1 should be raised cumulatively due to the increase in the severity of the year of insurance experience and the Swiss rule. Everything is not to get smaller sizes than the current ones, together with the COVID supplements of BGN 60, which will be dropped. According to him, a differentiation of the growth of pensions can be made so that the supplement is integrated.
