Schools will remain open if there is no child suffering from coronavirus. In this case, the school will be placed under a 14-day quarantine. This was reported by the National Operational Headquarters.

However, nurseries, kindergartens and schools will not allow persons with symptoms similar to those of the common flu.

In areas where there are cases of coronavirus, it is forbidden for outsiders to visit childcare and elderly-care social facilities, Dnes.bg reported.

It is also forbidden to conduct mass events such as excursions and green schools. The same will apply to sporting events. If they cannot be canceled, they will be without an audience.

Any congresses, conferences and other scientific events are also canceled. The head of the National Operational Headquarters, Prof. Ventsislav Mutafciski, stressed that this is a worldwide measure.

He declared that business life should not be restricted, but trips to other cities should be avoided if they were not urgent.

As for cultural and mass events, they will remain allowed, but with a maximum gathering of 250 people. In addition, a distance of at least 1 meter between them will be required.

Public buildings will need to be ventilated at least three times a day for 15 minutes.

Local authorities will have the opportunity to decide whether to introduce other stricter measures in the cities and areas they are responsible for.

Mutafchiyski also stressed that hospitals in which coronavirus patients are treated will not be closed.
