The Ambassador of Ukraine Vitaly Moskalenko has requested an official note of weapons for his country from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. There is no answer at the moment, he revealed.

„We need armaments, such as howitzers and missile system“s, Moskalenko added, adding that these are old Soviet armaments that they can handle.

The note was sent on Friday. The ambassador pointed out that there is no way to get an answer in such a short period of time, but he will send similar appeals to other similar institutions, including the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense.

Moskalenko also commented on the relocation of Ukrainian refugees to Bulgaria. According to him, our people have shown great empathy and very good attitude towards tens of thousands of women and children. He praised the government and Deputy Prime Minister Kalina Konstantinova, saying they had coped with the task of relocating war refugees.

The ambassador pointed out that temporary protection was provided quickly, and the problems with long queues when settling in the buffer zones were normal in this situation. According to him, there is a bigger problem with kindergartens.
