“Prime Minister Boyko Borissov should not be making unilateral decisions. I’ve made this remark on multiple occasions because after all, Bulgaria is not a Kingdom and decisions should be made in accordance with the collation agreements”, said Party Chairman of National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB), Valeri Simeonov, in an interview for NOVA TV following the coalition summit from Thursday.

….
Mr. Simeonov said the Patriots found out about the three ministerial resignations requested by Mr. Borissov from media reports.

“It appears the decision was rushed out the night before the summit. Figuratively speaking, we turned the clock back,” he said.

The resignations have not yet been turned down, said Mr. Simeonov, with the decision being postponed for Wednesday. He added the coalition is going to discuss the situation during a new summit and other resignations may follow as well

In regard to the protests in the capital, the Chairman of NFSB said there were quite a few personas among the protesters who are orchestrated from Dubai.

“You heard what Mr. Bozhkov said in his phone conversation: “I can gather up 10,000 people in front of the Parliament in less than an hour”. He is lying and exaggerating, but nonetheless, he can control at least a thousand people,” said Mr. Simeonov.

“Aside from part of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and their partisan squads integrated into the protests along with supporters of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MFRF), I see no other political parties involved in the demonstrations in the square. The protests are rather spontaneous and chaotic”, he said.

Mr. Simeonov also said it go clear yesterday that some of the governmental affairs are linked to the so-called servants of MFRF’s Chairman Achmed Dogan. This led to the complete turnaround in regard to the scheme with the funds from “cold reserve” in the national energetics. He said the issue concerns taxpayers’ funds used to secure the emergency readiness of certain energy powers in the country.

“There are concerns that TPP-Varna, belonging to Mr. Dogan, is funded by money from the cold reserve. In 2018 it actually received money from the reserve even though the funds were supposed to go to TPP-Maritsa. Between 50 and 60 million leva went to TPP-Varna. That was a major mistake and I personally didn’t manage to go to the bottom of it. It appears the new allegations originate from this particular case”, he said.

The cold reserve will undergo a 10-fold decrease, said Mr. Simeonov, adding the move would limit the funds leaking towards TPP-Varna.
