„The government is proposing a devastating budget for next year and huge spending with no goals, no plan, no clear procedures and no justification for the results of these spending.“

Such a comment was made by President Rumen Radev from the field training ground „Root“, where he attended a demonstration of the capabilities of the tactical exercise „Balkan Wall 2020“. According to him, future generations will be tasked with repaying debts with which the current government „buys peace and power with the money of the citizens.“ The head of state warned about the dangerous tendency for taxpayers’ money to be spent opaquely, and through budget planning to artificially create a budget surplus, which is used uncontrollably:

„Huge spending without public procurement, as an exception, is becoming the rule, and chaos – the norm. Examples – as many as you want. That is why there must finally be public attention, because this is our money. This is money for our children and grandchildren as well. ”

According to Radev, the evidence of the abuses is the billions spent on highways of extremely dubious quality and without public procurement, and the funds unaccounted for dams.

„I have long insisted that Motorways publish who they pay to, why, on what terms of reference, on what criteria, what guarantee there is. So far, this information has been stubbornly denied. „

Asked about the quarantine imposed on him and revoked, the President stated that he meets all sanitary requirements regulated by the only authorized and competent body – RHI:

„Before and after Tallinn, all my tests were negative. I feel in excellent health. I strictly follow the instructions of RHI. I will no longer participate and comment on directed intrigues. „

The head of state stressed that the fabricated scandal surrounding his visit to Estonia aims to divert public attention from the government’s proposed devastating budget for next year. He noted that his visit was a success and hosted the Three Seas Initiative.

„I came back with the flag of the Three Seas initiative, despite the huge resistance from the government, which supported Estonia to extend its household until the last moment next year,“ Radev commented, adding that this would allow Bulgaria to host the initiative in a period full of dynamics and challenges in our region and to actively influence the processes in it.
