President Rumen Radev congratulated all Bulgarian citizens who went out yesterday and exercised their right to vote in the 2 in 1 vote. He also congratulated „We continue the change“ for their unequivocal success in the early parliamentary elections.

The head of state said that he would convene the first sitting of the National Assembly in the near future. This will happen as soon as the names of the new deputies are announced.

Radev expressed confidence that this time the parties will be able to overcome their differences and a stable majority will be formed in the National Assembly, which will elect a regular government.

According to the head of state, the battle to strengthen the statehood is not over. He said that the parties of the status quo have repeatedly stated their desire to control the presidential institution, and in practice this was now their main ambition and they did not hide it. These formations did not spare resources in this direction, they would not do it now in the week before the runoff next Sunday.

Radev called on people to come out and cast their ballots again on Sunday. He said that everyone who wants to live in a modern and dignified Bulgaria should do it, because that way the change will be irreversible.
