There is a danger that Bulgaria will become a COVID ghetto.

This was announced in an interview with Prime Minister Kiril Petkov by the expert Prof. Radka Argirova. She stressed that if this really happens, no one will want to visit Bulgaria for tourism or do business in our country.

The Prime Minister asked how long there will be a coronavirus in our country. For her part, Prof. Argirova replied that he is currently under great pressure and is not the same one who ruled in our country in February, March and April. The virus is now under control because it is already being treated.

The expert explained that the therapy of patients is not just with symptomatic drugs, but with antiviral drugs and they have an effect and put immunity under pressure.

Prof. Argirova is of the opinion that the disease will continue to mutate and there will be new strains. But if citizens are vaccinated, they will not be affected. The expert predicts that if there is a good immunization coverage, the virus will subside around April-May next year. This will alleviate the mass psychosis that was created around him.

Prof. Argirova warned about a very bad scenario due to the low vaccine coverage in our country. She said that an endemic development of the virus can be observed in our country. But at the same time, there was the possibility of making new vaccines for different areas.

The health expert also dispelled claims that people with cardiovascular disease should not be immunized, saying they had no reason to worry about it. She stressed that isolated cases of problems have been described so far, but this cannot be a reason for people not to be immunized. This also applies to people with diabetes.

The virologist also explained that the World Health Organization has launched the idea of isolating countries with few vaccinated citizens in a common red zone that should be treated differently. And that only shows how serious the situation is.
