„Unfortunately, we lost two wonderful Bulgarian boys. Sincere condolences to the loved ones. Today, the so-called channelers have declared war on the Bulgarian state and it will respond with all its might. We will do everything necessary to prevent this incident from happening again.“
This was stated by Caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev. According to him, targeted measures have been taken for the vehicles, through the people who are engaged in this activity to the people who obviously cannot withstand the pressure or are involved in any way in letting migrants across the border. He added that within a few days he would try to ensure that there were no people involved in human trafficking in our country.
„We are working on suspicions and information that there are insiders involved in these smuggling of people across the border. I mean people from the Interior Ministry system,“, he added.
The Minister of the Interior noted that the necessary procedural and investigative actions were being carried out and this crime would be revealed.
„Our task is to prevent such incidents from happening again, and I will do everything in my power to accomplish this task. In the coming days, there will be intensive measures for the vehicles, for the so-called traffickers, our employees who do not perform their duties conscientiously enough,“, he added.
There are people detained and one more is currently wanted, he revealed and clarified that they are not Bulgarian citizens.
