30 new cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria

There are 30 new positive tests for COVID-19 in Bulgaria with 13 of the patients already being treated in hospital. The information is from Thursday morning announced by the National Operations Headquarters. The total number of coronavirus contagious people in Bulgaria reached 611, a 5.2% increase compared to the day before.

18 of the new cases are registered in Sofia, 2 in Kyustendil, 2 in Sliven and 1 respectively in Pazardzhik, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, and Dobrich. 

The number of patients deceased from COVID-19 in the country stands at 24. The number of recovered patients reached 48 – three of which are men from the Military Medical Academy, three people are from Pazardzhik, and one is a nurse from Peshtera. Among the recovered patients is a 70-year-old woman from Pazardzhik.

Of all confirmed coronavirus cases, 341 are men and 270 are women. The youngest COVID-19 patient is a one-year-old and the oldest one is 90-year-old.

The average age of the patients deceased is 62.2 years.

The number of infected doctors and nurses in Bulgaria reached 33. The latest case is of a 62-year old doctor. There is no evidence that the doctor contracted the disease from a patient.
