The Regional Governor of Burgas Maria Neykova signed a contract for the placement of 6 bungalows in a state property, located immediately behind „Zelenko“ beach in Vasiliko district in Tsarevo. This was revealed by public figure Emil Peychev to Iskra.bg, specifying that the procedure was launched while Valcho Cholakov was governor /2014-2021/, but the contract was signed by Neykova with the beach concessionaire in the period 2017-2022 for the ridiculous amount of BGN 572 per month.
„Currently, there is no concession contract concluded. The auction will be held on April 12 in the building of the Ministry of Tourism, which will be a big problem for the other participants in it. Because even if they take the beach, the objects placed behind it will cause problems. In principle, when such a concession procedure is launched, the beach itself should be cleared of such objects, but there are already such – there is an establishment that is owned by the same owner who was the concessionaire until the middle of last summer. Now he wants to put up a bungalow as well.“
According to Peychev, Neykova had every reason not to sign the contract for the bungalow and explained why:
„The concessionaire in question had built a terrace on the state property, which he used as part of his restaurant. There was an order from the Regional Administration to remove it, and in the middle of summer, at the beginning of August, this terrace was demolished. This is grounds for a breach of the contract and for it to be terminated.“
The public figure claims that the person applied to put a restaurant on the rocks of the „Nestinarka“ is an insider of the concessionaire and he is actually behind it.
Referring to the Law on Access to Public Information, the public figure submitted to the Regional Administration of Burgas a request to provide him with the contract, the placement scheme, as well as all available documents related to the tender.
Peychev insists that the regional governor must take measures, otherwise everything necessary will be done to prevent this contract from being implemented, because all the residents and guests of Tsarevo, including the owners of vacation properties, have spoken out against it.
„People are ready even for civil disobedience, just to ensure that this does not happen, because the beach, which is about 100-150 meters away, is not called „The Green“ by chance – its strip borders a green meadow and he wants to be right on it, which is with a width of 5-6 meters, to put these bungalows. Thus, the vision of this entire beach will go down the drain,“, he further commented.
