The new proven cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria are 53. This was reported by the National Operational Headquarters. 15 of them are being treated in hospitals. The people tested in the past 24 hours are 1302. The active cases are 1199.
The active areas of infection are 12. In Sofia there are 11 cases, in Vidin – 13, in Pleven – 8, in Pernik and Yambol – 4, Sliven – 3, Blagoevgrad, Veliko Turnovo, Plovdiv, Ruse – 2, and one each in Vratsa and Smolyan.
The deceased people for the last 24 hours – a 66-year-old man from Vidin, from the Nursing Home based in the village of Gara Oreshets. The deceased person had many accompanying illnesses. Тhe total number of deaths related to COVID-19 is now 66.
A total of 276 have successfully recovered – the new ones are 10.
The patients with proven COVID-19 who are hospitalized under medical supervision are 317. 40 of them are being treated in intensive care units.
6 new cases of infected medical professionals have been reported, and the total number is now 155. In Pirogov Emergency Hospital – one nurse and hospital attendants, the Military Medical Academy – a doctor. In Sliven – a doctor and in Yambol – a nurse.
The second plasma transfusion of an intubated patien,t who was in a more severe condition than the first one was made yesterday. Both of those patients who underwent this manipulation are in a better overall condition – they are afebrile.
