Some teachers and support staff in kindergartens spoke out against the opening of schools. They united in a petition, which has so far been signed by nearly 1,000 people.
According to the parties concerned, such a decision must be agreed with the people who work in this field, and each of them has the right to assess the risks to their health, readiness for work and life.
The text emphasises that most of the staff is at risk and even in one case of coronavirus, the childcare facility will have to be closed again:
It is time for all of us to recognise the invaluable importance of the work of teachers, as well as the work of support staff, and to finally be treated with the necessary respect!
The author pointed out that children can exchange all kinds of diseases, which happens all year round:
Are we ready in such a situation to be accused of guilt, as often happens, or will we rely on Mr. Ananiev, who has clearly shown that he does not understand anything about working with children, to protect us? No! I’m sorry, but I don’t trust anyone else to defend my rights as a teacher and a person!
