Slavi announced the priorities of „There Is Such a People“. What are they?

In a statement today before 7/8 TV, the leader of the party „There is such a people“ Slavi Trifonov presented the leading priorities for the draft cabinet.

Here are the most important points that the government will focus on:

1. Construction of the required number of kindergartens, „whether 50, 60 or 100, as needed – as many“.
2. Construction of a brand new children’s hospital.
3. Purchase of helicopters for medical rescue purposes.
4. Concession and construction of all other highways – Hemus Motorway – Botevgrad – Vidin – Veliko Tarnovo – Ruse, as well as the Black Sea Motorway from the Romanian border through Varna and Burgas to the Turkish border.
5. Purchase up to 1 million tablets or laptops for all students and teachers and provide the necessary software to the education system.
6. Start of privatization of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) – 51% majority stake in a strategic investor and 49% through the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
7. Sharp improvement of transparency in public procurement.
8. Eradication of the practice of spending millions of levs by state structures without a competition.
9. Eradication of the practice of paying billions of levs in advance to the contractors.
10. Eradication of the practice of presenting a number of repairs as emergency.
11. Introduction of a decisive measure, predominant participation of external members and observers in evaluation commissions.
12. Rapid redundancies of the state administration, digitalization of services.
13. Change in the electoral system, introduction of the majority vote, electronic voting and party subsidy of BGN 1.
14. Closure of the specialized court and prosecutor’s office.
15. Accelerated construction and commissioning of the gas interconnector with Greece.
16. Confirmation of the application for the membership of Bulgaria in the organization for economic cooperation and development in the euro area and in the Schengen agreement.
17. Submission of an application for Bulgaria’s membership in the European Space Agency, because only Bulgaria is not a member there.

„We will do everything possible for a man and a woman to be the first Bulgarian astronauts at NASA, as well as to send a northern Macedonian, so that we do not look at the earth out of shame, as we have been doing lately, but to start looking at the stars,“ Trifonov said.

He concluded his statement as follows:

„Finally, I want to tell you that there will be no forgiveness for those who have broken or are breaking the law.“
