Lena Borislavova from „We Continue the Change“ intends to file a civil case for defamation and libel against the scriptwriters of Slavi Trifonov. She announced this herself on social networks. According to her, the lawsuit will be filed in the Sofia City Court. Borislavova vows to file other civil cases.

„After the scriptwriters, several more lawsuits against alleged public speakers and yellow media figures will follow,“, she wrote.

The reason for the lawsuit is probably „Song for Lena“, which was released on social networks, and its text crosses the boundaries of political satire in good taste.

Borislavova refused to participate in the elections last October, but now she is a candidate from the „We Continue the Change“-DB – second in the Sofia list for the 24th electoral district, after Co-chair of the DB Hristo Ivanov. Hours before the lawsuit against Trifonov’s people was filed, the alliance registered its list.

„At 12:30 p.m. the „We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria“ alliance registered its lists for the upcoming early parliamentary elections, in which I will be a candidate for MP from the 24th electoral district. At 1:30 p.m., my first lawsuit for defamation and libel will be registered at the Sofia City Court. After the scriptwriters, several more lawsuits will follow against supposed public speakers and yellow media figures. There is a way and someone to do politics differently, without rampant corruption and theft, and political satire with intelligence and within the bounds of human dignity. It depends on all of us,“, Borislavova wrote.

She is not the first member of „We Continue the Change“ to file cases against people from „There is such a nation“ /TISP/. The first was one of the leaders of the formation – Assen Vassilev, who decided to sue Toshko Yordanov.
