“There is a lot to be said about Slavi Trifonov’s „interview“ broadcast by Toshko, but I think I should start with a curious fact: just like in Borisov’s speeches, in Slavi’s videos the most mentioned politician is… you guessed it – Hristo Ivanov . Enemy №1 of… yes, we all remember the old joke about Reagan and the Tutrakan settlement system. But at least I want to get out of the old jokes and start talking about the word that Mr. Trifonov doesn’t like it so much – to start talking about „politicians“.”
This was written by Ivaylo Mirchev from Democratic Bulgaria on Facebook. In the publication he also notes:
“Because, contrary to the feeling of Mr. Trifonov, who spoke of the voters as“ respected viewers „, the government of the country cannot actually be a show. Because we are talking about our future. It is about removing the MRF from power, dismantling the mechanisms behind the scenes and making their reassembly impossible. That is why Mr. Trifonov’s complaint that they were clearly not „sympathetic“ to any of the other formations in parliament is not particularly relevant. Sympathies are not the subject of political conversation. The policies are. The principles are. The reforms are. The commitments are. Experience and integrity are. The rest is bulshit.”
We have seen the smoke in Bulgarian politics. That is why we insist all the time on clear commitments to win back our institutions from the networks of corruption – but not in words, but with a program, with concrete actions. That is why we cannot enter into any parliamentary formulas that would allow the decisions in the government to depend on the MRF and GERB. That is why we want to know all the time who will be the specific people who will embark on this feat – there is no more important factor than people. This job requires people with proven integrity and skills.
And because Hristo Ivanov does not stop insisting on clear political, not showman answers and clear political responsibility, but in return he gets a fog, as a result he becomes the object of live and video. Because the only way to divert public attention from missing answers is to shift the responsibility to the questioner. And to spread obvious lies – such as the claim that we had asked for posts from „Democratic Bulgaria“. We are not. We want a real dialogue in the name of the vote of the people who voted for change not to be spent on… more of the same. And since we never received a real dialogue, we proposed – publicly – to attract proven ministers from the caretaker government. They responded with attacks – but not against the MRF, the attacks were against us. Which is another reason to think, because подкрепа with whose support will this “minority government” that Slavi is talking about make his decisions?
Otherwise – if we return to the form, we can continue with the similarities in the productions – Mr. Trifonov’s video is reminiscent of other videos, shot in a controlled environment conveniently devoid of real questions. Mr. Trifonov explained his absence from the studios by saying that he had been on television every day for so many years that he now enjoyed doing his job without showing himself to people. I don’t know, remind me – what other leader hasn’t been appearing among the people lately?
Maybe the Triple Coalition 2.0 is coming and the transition continues.”
