Compulsory machine voting from a constitutional legal point of view can be a problem. In the small polling stations, voting will be done only by paper ballots, former constitutional judge Rumen Nenkov commented on the air of „NOVA“. According to him, the good experience is for the voters to decide for themselves how to vote.

Given that a sufficient number of paper ballots will be printed as a reserve, why is it mandatory to vote by machine?“

The time for voting by a paper ballot and a machine is the same, Nenkov believes. According to him, the biggest manipulation in the election history is called „Kostinbrod“. Then he added:

„The fact that machine voting is a guarantee of a fair vote is manipulation.“

Election ethics requires that no changes be made to legislation at the last minute.

The CEC does not resolve the issue of establishing the election result. I was in the CEC at the suggestion of Petar Stoyanov, and he lost the election to Georgi Parvanov.“

Nenkov also commented on the reform of the judicial system: „I believe that the Prosecutor’s Office should not be ostentatious It needs to do its job more discreetly and does not need to seek public approval.”He also added that party functionaries should not be included in the SJC’s parliamentary quota.
