Bulgarian pilot and her crew successfully landed a plane at Heathrow Airport in London during the damaging Storm Siara. Commander Raina Koseva has more than 8000 flying hours in her career. She is also a mother of 3 children.

It is extremely scary to land an airplane while the wind outside is terrifying but Raina Koseva shows coolness and acts by the rules. The reason is that planes and pilots anyhow have to follow them.

Commander Koseva says: “We don’t do any experiments while being on the plane”.

“Each flight is operated by a different aircraft which has its limits. According to that most of the flights are canceled when they are not able to land the plane safe.”

This flight lasted about 30 minutes more than regular because of the wild wind. Raina says:

“The weather was unpleasant for passengers at Heathrow Airport because of the wind. It was raining and there was a bad turbulence. This is absolutely normal if depends on the pilot meaning however it’s extremely uncomfortable for the passengers.”

Raina Koseva explained all pilots are very ready for such situations in every single moment. It is because they go to stimulators and follow different scenario in training – turbulence, high winds, fires in the air etc. which happens every 6 months.

Commander Koseva has 3 own children – Daniela and twins Maria and Ivaylo. She loves to spend time with them – biking, skiing, climbing mountains or jumping bungee and parachute.
