“Insaoil” will buy the refinery of “Lukoil” in Burgas. This fake news is circulating the internet right now.

The news is that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to lend “Insaoil” 100 million euros as the company competes to buy the largest refinery in the Balkans, which is owned by the Russian company Lukoil”. This amount was a serious boost and its release happened at a time when Sofia was ready to ban the processing of Russian oil in Bulgaria.

Iskra.bg managed to contact one of the sales representatives of the “Insaoil” company, who was adamant that these are rumors that do not correspond to the truth. He himself also received the email in question already last week.

He explained to us that 100 million euros is an extremely small amount. In recent years alone, according to him, Lukoil has invested 3 billion dollars in Neftohim-Burgas. According to him, if the Russian company really decides to sell its refinery in our country, it will not happen for less than 7 to 9 billion dollars.
