Today, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov inspected the site of the Seventh Reactor at Kozloduy NPP. He was accompanied by Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, the leaders of Podkrepa and CITUB. During the site inspection, Borissov said:

“We should not think only about the TPPs and the miners, but also about the people working at Kozloduy NPP, since February, we already have an environmental impact assessment, we will make the 7th unit of Kozloduy NPP by technology, which is radically different from the current one, 100% diversification as we did with gas. We are now in a pandemic and an economic crisis, so we can afford to spend more money. No one can accuse me of campaigning. We are talking initially about a large reactor.”

Borissov pointed out that for 11 years of the campaign the country’s budget was in surplus. In the course of the talks, Ananiev commented on the topic of pensions:

„Next year, the minimum pension is expected to increase from BGN 250 to BGN 300. People with a pension between BGN 300 and 350 will have an increase of 10%, and the rest – from 5%. Yesterday, Angelov and I agreed on another 5 million for the drug Remdesivir, which they say helps the most. It does not cure, but it helps the most. It cured Trump. We will buy so that the warehouses are full.”

In addition, Borissov announced that at tomorrow’s meeting, the cabinet will allocate funds for the purchase of another 16,000 computers for schools. He added:

“In order to be ready, in addition to being able to meet the first needs, if necessary. Then there are 70,000 computers, but they are on the European program.”
