At the beginning of the regular government session, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov assured that no new restrictive measures would be imposed, such as the closure of cities and the return of checkpoints. He stressed that everyone should respect the already imposed anti-epidemic measures as one. He again emphasizes disinfection, distance and wearing masks, as well as increased attention. According to him, these things are enough to protect Bulgarian citizens from COVID-19.

He told the ministers:

“The number of infected is increasing. That is why all institutions should work in maximum coordination on the topic of COVID-19, without realizing that something different from the current measures should be done. No checkpoints, no restrictions. What we currently have as precautionary measures is enough, but the control must be observed and the control must be extremely strong.”

At its regular meeting, the government decided to allocate BGN 2.1 million for the purchase of 2,500 Remdesivir vials. The price of one bottle is 345 euros without VAT. The Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov assured that there is enough of the medicine for all those in need. Most likely, the new units will arrive in Bulgaria in 10-12 days. So far, our country has received 2837 vials in the form of donations, which were distributed to the Regional Health Inspectorates.
