It is a sin to pour the mineral water into the river, we have a solution to the problem. This was stated by Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Arch. Ivan Shishkov during his visit to Burgas. It is about water supply problems in the Pomorie village of Medovo, which is located nearly 30 kilometers from Burgas and a few kilometers from the resort of „Sunny Beach“. Shishkov answered a question posed by a journalist of Iskra.bg as follows:
„In the village of Medovo, we cannot say that there is no water. The problem is that the spring contains mineral water. In the past, the water was tested and there was a decision that it did not meet the norms for drinking, but we plan to include it in the water supply of Kamchia. What has been done so far is that there are prescriptions from the Ministry of Health to do new water sampling, including mixed water, i.e. water from the mineral springs and from the one in Kamchia. We await the results of the sample because that is the only problem. This will increase the flow of water and the matter will be over. I hope and assume that the decision will be positive.“
„I can say that over time no one has bothered to make this attempt to have the water mixed, because the mineral water has very small deviations from the norm, i.e. if it is mixed with the other water, presumably it will meet the standarts, and in certain proportions the mineral water can be used. It is a sin to pour the mineral water into the river,„, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works stated firmly.
Regional Governor of Burgas Prof. Maria Neykova pointed out on the topic that at this stage we cannot talk about deadlines, because the problem has yet to be analyzed and the necessary actions taken. She explained:
„This issue was also discussed today in parallel with other issues concerning Burgas region. We have the assurance from Minister Shishkov that we will find a solution or at least we will make a start to build on.”
We remind you that there has been a lack of water in the village of Medovo for several years. Local residents believe that the problem is rooted in the old water pipeline, which has a certain flow rate and cannot meet the needs of the population.
„Organization for the Protection of Bulgarian Citizens“ /OPBC/ has also taken on the difficult task of helping the residents of Medovo with whatever it can in order to solve their problem as soon as possible.
