The society in our country is almost divided in terms of how reliable the official statistics for the distribution of COVID-19 in the country are. 56% of respondents believe the information, while 44% do not, according to the latest national representative survey of „Exacta Research Group“. Rather, women, people over the age of 40, educated respondents and citizens of Sofia believe the information about the spread of the virus in our country.

34.9 percent of the respondents are of the opinion that the worst is over, while 27% are convinced the opposite – that the worst is yet to come. 38.1 percent cannot judge.

A huge percentage of Bulgarians – 86% say they follow the recommendations for wearing masks, disinfection and social distance. The survey also shows that 14% do not comply with these measures, and among them are mostly young people under 30 years of age and more often men.

The survey was conducted in the period between 10 and 16 September 2020. Through a stratified sample by sex, age and type of settlement were selected and interviewed 1005 adult Bulgarians in 123 nests in 89 settlements of the country.
